A somewhat bitter comedy in a military setting, about an aging quartermaster - an officer who doesnt know if he should be more afraid of the Czech army joining NATO or of not finding the unknown soldier who made his daughter pregnant.Captain Outlý used to have a calm, stereotype life of utter contentment. As quartermaster of many years standing, his work is easy and his family life with one daughter and one understanding wife has also been smooth and peaceful. Suddenly the very foundations are shaking to his comfortable lifestyle. The political scene had changed, the army is changing en route for NATO and his daughter is expecting a baby and will not or maybe cannot say who is the father. And at his age he is now expected to resolve things, to act and achieve things and even to change his own habits!
