A three-episode psychological drama about the lengths to which investigators are prepared to go to in order to catch and convict a criminal. A serial killer and a case where the statute of limitations is about to run out. An investigation that goes to the very fringes of the law. The main character in this miniseries is Josef, a detective ordered by his boss to conduct routine reviews of old unsolved murders as punishment for resorting to unofficial methods to catch a brutal killer. This leads him to discover the case of Eva, an 18-year-old girl who had been strangled twenty years earlier. There are just 16 days left before the statute of limitations on the murder runs out. Josef’s drive to find the killer despite obstacles thrown in his way by his superiors forces him to use practices that are borderline illegal.
