An educational Encyclopedia for Young Schoolchildren and Pre-school Children The guide through the individual parts is a clown with a blue nose who likes to travel, and who learns about the world around us with the help of children. 1) Tree and Wood in the first part the children meet Clown Wisenose. Their first trip takes them to the forest. The children learn about which trees and mushrooms grow in the woods and which animals live there. We also take a look at violin making. 2) A Wheel, a Bicycle Clown Wisenose will teach the children how to ride a bike. As he is an inquisitive creature, he asks about where bicycles actually came from, how they work and how one should look after a bike. And he also learns about traffic rules. 3) Paths to Animals in part three, Clown Wisenose shows us how he loves his pets, his dog and cat, his rabbit and all his live pals. But Wisenose also finds that it is quite a worry and a serious responsibility to look after such an animal. 4) Traces of Home Clown Wisenose looks around and finds that his home consists of more than his house, street and town 5) Buildings, Houses Large and Small we find out how houses are built, how the builders mix the mortar. Wisenose then composes a song, instructions on how to mix mortar 6) The Word this time we join the Clown to learn about lettering, words and communication. 7) Small Animals Wisenose sets out hunting without a weapon. To the woods, to a meadow, to a field. Tiny creatures live everywhere around us. 8) Light and Shade - this time about light, shade and the history of artificial lighting 9) Who am I? we shall seek an answer to this difficult question together with the Clown. 10) What to Wear? How primeaval Man dressed, and about clothes and sewing. 11) Swift Help in this part we shall learn how to call for help and give help quickly in an emergency, and what we must tell the ambulance people. 12) Traffic, Traffic we learn with Wisenose how to behave among traffic and how to cross streets on our own 13) Herbs we shall set out into the blossoming meadows with Wisenose, learn about basic herbs; we will make natural soap and curative herb teas. 14) Drinking Water about how we should behave towards water 15) More Than a Wrapping we learn about wrappings and containers, how they are sorted and recycled. A designer joins us in pondering over how a product is to look. 16) Language of the Body and Soul we shall visit a school where dancing is taught as a language for the body and soul.
