Catalogue of Czech Television Programmes
This documentary series about selected monuments of one of the most significant civilizations on our planet originated in close cooperation with the Czech Egyptology Institute of the Faculty for Philosophy, Charles University. Due to the exceptional position of Czech Egyptology and the acknowledgement and respect won worldwide by Professor Miroslav Verner in Egypt, Czech Television was granted permission to take many more shots than any other television company. After numerous complicated negotiations, our television cameras were able to descend into places where even experts are forbidden to enter. With the Egyptologies we shall visit all the important pyramids in the north (e.g. the Djoser Pyramid, the Snorfu pyramids, Ghiza) and others as well as the most significant monuments south of Luxor right down to the famous rock temple Abu Simbel. 1.
