THE BOUNDLESS WORLD

Svět bez hranic

A series of documentary programs on the social, cultural, religious and ethnic problems which have helped form current Czech society. The topics include the child of a Jehovah’s Witness who became a serious drug addict; a group of amateur Jewish musicians who suggest how Czechs, Czech Jews and Czech Romanies can became one truly human family; Celtic tribes and their influence on Czech territory past and present; an exceptionally talented blind Romany musician whose efforts to find a place in “normal white society” nearly ended in tragedy; and the sexual harassment that women suffer at their jobs. The series demonstrates how our attitudes towards different lifestyles can reveal our own degree of intolerance of those around us.
