A tragicomedy which forces us to think more deeply about the scale of human values. >From birth, the lives of two sisters developed along very different lines. Jiřina is intelligent, pragmatic and ambitious. Fanny was born with a mental handicap and only just manages to find work. The story begins to unfold at a point when the two sisters meet after many years. Jiřina is faced with a difficult decision whether to look after her sister or have her placed in an institution. Although the sisters become close again, Jiřina's decision to spend the rest of her life with Fanny brings with it many problems and absurd situations.
