A film about the drama that accompanies the most seemingly ordinary of lives. The story of Adam, a rather odd young man, unfolds at the beginning of this century in a lonely community in the mountains. Adam is the son of an unmarried mother, a woman with a bad reputation, and his entire life is a struggle against the harshness of fate. This poetic drama culminates with basic questions concerning the meaning of human existence, its dependence on nature and love, and the ability of a human being to live out a life that seems to make no sense.
