Catalogue of Czech Television Programmes
Local elections in a small Czech town become the stage for an intimate comedy charting the personal development of the members of a volunteer election committee. Over two days and nights the member of a randomly assembled group undergo changes that transform each from a mere local figure into a more fully understanding human being able to share an interesting life story. In the seemingly boring atmosphere surrounding the wait for voters, personal problems culminate and, in the end, force them to pull together. The film is the debut of Alice Nellis, a very promising young theater and film director who succeeded in attracting the best Czech actors and actresses to fill the main roles.
