He’s young, funny, and just a few things short of happiness. In 1971, when the inhabitants could only dream of freedom, Standa accepts a lucrative job offer and joins Czech Television as a driver. He soon gains experience and sets off on his first exterior filming, where he gets an overview of the opinions, the artistic collective, and the principles of the socialist dictate. He can charm any woman and even secure tickets to a hockey game behind the Iron Curtain. He will understand that he can only fulfill his dream of the Volga car by informing Secret Police about inconvenient colleagues.
