Marie Poledňáková, author and director, has written a television play on controversial topic in modern society – the unmarried mother. The plot is seen trough the eyes of a child. A child ´´must´´ have a mother and father to be happy. Vašek has many dreams and hopes, like any other small boy. He would like his mother to take him to the mountains, he wants a dog for a pet and most of all – he wants to have a father. The play poses different problems, oscillating between innocent purity and simultaneosly the cruel truth of a child ´s mentality and the complicated world of the grow – ups. In 1978 the programme won the grand Prix , „Golden Prague“ , in the category of dramatic programmes at the International television Festival in Prague.
