This two-part story tells a tale of pride, evil – and victorious love. A King bargains with a Witch for wealth and eternal youth in exchange for bringing her the Stone of Salvation. He does not fulfill his part of the bargain and the Witch takes her revenge. Meanwhile, Marie Rose, the daughter of a poor seamstress, and the King's son fall in love. The now miserable King puts up many obstacles to stop the two young people, but love wins the day.
