As hinted in the title, in this fairy tale we encounter devils, but mainly find love. The Saying that real love blossoms at any age and also among all living creatures, is borne out in an original and colourful manner by Squirt the kindly little devil and the good maid Annie, whose paths are interwined by fate. The couple meet before the gateway to Hell. Annie was brought there by her rich mistress´s greed - who was beset by the longing for something unheard of - to own a pair of gold eyes, which cannot be bought at a goldsmith´s, they can only be procured in Hell. The little devil Squirt - surely of the lowest category of demons - happens to be there at the same time. He has been given the task of acquiring yet another bond for Hell. Unfortunately he is somewhat clumsy and has not has quite mastered the skills of Lucipher´s realm. And so his devilish grandmother Elvira must help him out.
