One lazy little kitten who lived on top of a stove in a house in Kocourkov never had any fun and never went anywhere. One day he feels so sorry for himself that he decides to look for some excitement and sets out to investigate the world. He meets Motyčka, a kind shoemaker who gives him a home, and has fun and adventures with the animals who live in the farmyard and forest. After learning a few things he feels confident and experienced enough to return home.
